Factory authorized Martin Service Center. My experience started in the Guild repair shop in Westerly RI. I have been dealing with and repairing dried out and crack acoustics due to New England winters for decades. I always rehumidify the guitar before crack repair, neck resets, bridge reglueing, and any set-up work is done.
Nuts and saddles are perfectly fit with lacquer finish touch-up on the ends of the nut, tinted to look age appropriate, never shimmed or filled for maximum energy transferred.
Fossilized ivory, unbleached bone, and Tusq are available and always cut from a blank to ensure perfect spacing.
Neck resets are perfectly cut, refrets are perfectly seated and leveled after proper planning of the fingerboard and fret ends are always soft to the touch and touched-up.
Appropriate glues are used depending on the vintage of the instrument and the repair need.
